ACROSS THE FURIOUS SEA - 涉过愤怒的海

Soundtrack Magazine proudly presents the CD release of composer GUO Sida’s (THE WASTED TIME, BORN TO FLY) original motion picture score to the 2023 crime thriller drama ACROSS THE FURIOUS SEA. Based on Lao Huang’s novel of the same name, the film stars HUANG Bo (JOURNEY TO THE WEST: CONQUERING THE DEMON, LEAP) and ZHOU Xun (SUZHOU RIVER, CLOUD ATLAS) and is director CAO Baoping’s final entry of his “Burning Heart” trilogy. It tells the story of a tragedy caused by family trauma. The score not only incorporates both traditional orchestral music that Guo specializes in but also adds a depressing and heavy electronic soundscape using sampling and sound design.

The album is supervised by GUO Sida and mixed and mastered by acclaimed music engineer LI Yuesong. The album artwork is designed by WU Qingyu. We also re-selected and edited the album tracks for a better listening experience. 

This is a limited edition of 500 units, with red stamping numbering.
